COMCEC condemns Israeli aggressions on Palestinian people

ISTANBUL, (SANA) _ The Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (COMCEC) on Sunday condemned the continuous Israeli attacks on the Palestinian people and Israel's continued occupation of the Palestinian territories. The committee, in its report at the end of its 23rd session, called for stopping all forms of Israeli aggression and violations of the Islamic and Christian sanctities and called for an immediate end to the financial siege imposed on the Palestinians and the immediate Israeli withdrawal from all Palestinian territories. The committee also condemned Israel's insistence on the establishment of the apartheid wall on the Palestinian lands despite the strong international opposition. The committee urged the Organization's member states and the concerned institutions to offer the necessary assessments and to help the Palestinian people rebuilding the Palestinian economy particularly after destroying the Palestinian infrastructure by the Israeli occupation forces as it urged the businessmen and investors the to invest in the Palestinian territories and contribute in the implementation of the economic, industrial, agricultural and housing projects in it. The committee denounced the repeated Israeli aggressions on Lebanon and the continuing Israeli insistence not to withdraw from the still occupied Lebanese territories including Shab'a farms. Minister of Economy and Trade Dr. Amer Hosni Lutfi participated in the 2-day meeting.
